NOM DE GUERRE

During my daily "exploration" of the various on-line clothing stores and considering my passion for men fashion, I found the american brand Nom De Guerre, founded in October 2003, which adv. campaign I loved!
Nom de Guerre is a New York based creative collective founded by Holly Harnsongkram, Wil Whitney, Devon Turnbull, and Isa Saalabi.
The collaboration of the members is driven by the theory that collective consciousness and collective reasoning is superior to that of the individual ego. The operating precept is to combine basic and diverse influences from art, fashion, and various New York City subcultures to create a composite culture and byproduct.

The group launched a clothing line that was based on intensive research of utilitarian design; the result was practical clothing with the look of high-end Army/Navy surplus and other functional garments. This study of uniforms, in particular, derives from an ongoing examination of what it is that cross culturally informs the design choices of non-civilian clothing.

Beau Coops Sneakers.

Beau Coops 2011 Fall/Winter “Lionel” Sneaker
Traditionally, beaucoup means “a lot” or “much” in French but when it comes to Italian shoemaker Beau Coops, the word takes on a whole new meaning. Beau which means a stylish man and Coops, a shortened version of designer Carrie Cooper’s name, sums up the brand’s classically designed shoes for men and women perfectly. An example is the Lionel Sneakеrs.

THE HEREAFTER Collaboration.

The Hereafter Collaboration is a project of three young bulgarian artists: Zlatimir Arakliev, Mila Ateva and Milko Boyarov. Zlatimir is a photographer, Milko is a jewelery designer and Mila a fashion designer as you already know from previous posts of mine. In this project they use to pick up moments of different religions and places and time from the whole world from their point of view and they put it in one editorial with no borders and no detestation, while preserving the passion and the power of all of them from Persian queen on the first frame, African power on the second frame to Pious nun from Vatican ..to the future were everybody gonna be minutely and humble without mercantile and acquisitive feelings....fine and FREE. All the jewels and clothes are made for the photoshoot.

Fall collections on the market.

I am absolutely in love with almost everything from the Marella's fall collection! I love basic clothes and this season most of the cuts are clean. I love the bold orange color of the trench and the prevalent leopard print of the shoes and bags.
