Wearing Kurt & Courtney's Love
The love we have for Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love is private and special and hard to put into words, usually involving hours spent watching YouTube videos of the two of them. But if you’re not that insane and prefer to wear your alt-nation love on your sleeve, Japanese brand TAKAHIROMIYASHITA TheSoloist and Japanese magazine Spade have teamed up for a capsule collection printed with black and white photos of the pair. There’s sixteen pieces in total, which, can be purchased here. Its a great idea and I love it.

H&M in Bugaria.
Good music, good food and nice people - this is how I could describe in a few words the evening in which H&M opened a showroom in Bulgaria. Besides the design, the bright colors, the different materials and pieces from the spring '12 collection , the whole atmosphere was wonderful too. A lot of guest took part in the event - the whole bulgarian fashion elite was there, like fashion stylists, photographers, designers, journalists and bloggers, who have yet to experience the pleasure of working with the Swedish brand. I'm really glad I was invited too.
I had some favorite pieces like this awesome short neon dress, but I hope that a big part of the collection is yet to come so we all can't wait the opening of the first store in Bulgaria on the 10th ot March.
And I also really hope that the bulgarian customers will appreciate this brand.

Deryck Todd Hats
Deryck Todd started wearing hats at the age of 5 when his mom dressed him up like Robin Hood and was stuck being jealous of his sister, Tinkerbell. Through high school, he sported baseball caps, but come adulthood, those sport team hats just weren’t cutting it— not to mention they clashed with his smokey eye make up. So he began to cover up the boring cap with glam: gems, studs, chains, feathers, whatever he could get his hands on. And thus, the line of Deryck Todd hats was born.
Founded in 2009, Deryck Todd’s haberdashery always has necks snapping and jaws dropping. Inspired by the very New York streets he grew up in, nightlife culture, and most of all, his glittery imagination, Deryck Todd has become a mythical figure of the downtown fashion underground.

Hermès Arceau Marqueterie de Paille
41mm white gold case, automatic mechanical movement exclusively for Hermes by Manufacture Vaucher, matt indigo blue alligator strap.
These two watches feature the Hermès Arceau model’s signature asymmetrical lugs, however the the distinctive italic typeface of the Arceau hour-markers has vanished so as to give pride of place to the exceptional straw marquetry graving the dial.
Mass-coloured on the spot and then laid out flat to dry, the straw which is subjected to weather conditions, variations in humidity and various baths, never displays the exact same shades of colours. Its natural colours subtly illuminate the marquetry motifs. Split open with a thin blade and then manually flattened with a bone tool, the wisps are then cut up into various lengths. This calls for accurate gestures and considerable physical strength. Playing with the colours and the directions of the various wisps, the artisan assembles his motifs on a sheet of graph paper. Glued in much the same way as a leather book binding, the straw marquetry motif is then assembled on the watch dial.
